Dr. Melissa Deuter is currently a private psychiatrist in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine. Dr. Deuter has served as the South Bexar Psychiatric Society in 2009 and also served on the Executive Committee for the South Texas Psychiatric PBRN.
Brooke Army Medical Center
Dr. Stephen D. Gelfond is a past president of the Bexar County Medical Society and Bexar County Psychiatric Society, Distinguished Life Fellow of the APA and Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine. Dr. Gelfond is a founding and Executive Committee member of the South Texas Psychiatric PBRN.
Research Coordinator
Shaghayegh serves as the research coordinator for Residency Research Network of Texas (RRNeT) and South Texas Psychiatric (STX-Psychiatric) practice-based research networks. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA), and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology with a certificate in Maternal and Child Health from UTHealth Houston. As a graduate student, Shaghayegh interned with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), which led her to complete an Epidemiology and Data Analytics Fellowship with the Birth Defects Epidemiology and Surveillance Branch of DSHS. She is extremely passionate about Public Health research, chronic diseases and health data science.
